IRA Accounts

You may be able to lower your tax liability every year by starting up a Traditional Individual Retirement Account (IRA).  Our competitive interest rates on your IRA are declared quarterly by our Board of Directors.

In a traditional IRA, taxes are deferred until you begin making withdrawals at retirement, as early as age 59 1/2. You must begin making withdrawals when you reach 70 1/2 to avoid IRA tax penalties.  Early withdrawals may be subject to IRS penalties.

In addition to Traditional IRA accounts, CFCU offers the Roth IRA. Roth IRA accounts feature tax-deferred earnings and fewer restrictions on withdrawals.
