Become a member of Chesterfield Federal Credit Union

A credit union is a member-owned financial cooperative, democratically controlled by its members, and operated for the purpose of promoting thrift, providing credit at competitive rates, and providing other financial services to its members.

When you open a credit union account, you become part owner, and have one vote annually to help elect the volunteer Board of Directors. You also can take advantage of all of the benefits that come with credit union membership. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, profits are returned to our members in the form of lower loan rates, higher dividend rates and lower or no fees on products and services.

What this means for you is that when you open any type of account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We will also ask to examine your driver's license or other identifying documents and we will retain copies of documents used to verify your identity. We ask for your understanding as we work to support these efforts to maintain the security of your funds and to protect against terrorist financing. Please speak with a staff member if you have questions or concerns about our identification policies.
