Support Your Community

Help support your community by making a donation when shredding your materials to support the Chesterfield Professional Firefighters Charitable Foundation. Recommended donation is a $1.00 donation per bag or box shredded.

Limits & Restrictions

To ensure everyone has an opportunity to have their materials shredded, we strictly enforce the following limits per person:

  • Two boxes with dimensions no greater than 2’x2’x2’ OR
  • Four paper or reusable shopping bag

We cannot accept shred in plastic shopping bags or trash bags. To ensure quick service for everyone, we must refuse shred material that contains:

  • Plastic bags or baggies
  • Trash of any kind
  • Metal such as binder clips (staples and paper clips are acceptable)
  • Binders
  • Stacks of magazines, newspapers or household cardboard such as cereal boxes. These items can be recycled for free at any Chesterfield County Transfer Station and do not require secured processing.
  • Previously shredded material
  • Cardboard of any kind, including check book boxes
